The latest beta of iSMARTtrain V3.0 is available for download from http://www.ismarttrain.com/Beta/

FYI, Betas 9 & 10 were released to a small number of testers in an unsuccessful attempt to fix the T6c downloading problems.

As usual, post any problems here.

Issues with Polar rs800cx (edited)

Hi Stuart

I have som issues with a Polar RS800CX with both stride sensor and GPS data..

Stride sensor:
- in data table, the speed is shown as 120:00, not the actual speed measurements
- in data table, the distance is incorrectly shown.
- in grapth view: speed is shown correctly as min/km, but is shown as 120:00 as km/t
- in grapf view: the total distance is shown correctly - 4 km in total

see pictures from a 4km run with stride sensor.

GPS:
- in data table: the speed just seems random from 0-200 kmh
- in data table: distance is shown to be 0:00 despite it was 14,08km
- in data table: heart rate is not correct. it regularly hit 0 and reach over 200 in just the next measure. I have tried to measure this more than one time to rule out the puls-reader. it also works fine when i turn off the GPS and continou my ride with it.
- in graph view: these error are visible in the graph view
- in graph view: average speed is shown to be 512,1..

Hi Stuart,

I've been waiting for software to sync Suunto products for Mac over 1,5 years now and today I discovered this SW - Great! Unfortunately some startup problems, with the Suunto PC POD - they seem to be similar than were in the Beta 8 release topic. And PC POD is connected directly to mac's usb port (have tried all of them). When I try to add Suunto T3C device I can only see USB and Soniclink ports with Garmin and Polar devices under them.

OS - Snow Leopard 10.6.1

Suunto PC POD driver installed (SLAB_USBtoUART.kext file exists) however in the system.log I see following lines
Oct 14 19:49:03 niko-vironens-macbook-pro com.apple.kextcache[340]: Can't read info dictionary for SLAB_USBtoUART.kext: IOCFUnserialize: syntax error near line 3.
Oct 14 19:49:04: --- last message repeated 1 time ---
Oct 14 19:49:04 niko-vironens-macbook-pro com.apple.kextcache[340]: JMicronATA.kext does not declare a kernel dependency; using com.apple.kernel.6.0.
Oct 14 19:49:07 niko-vironens-macbook-pro com.apple.kextcache[340]: Created mkext archive //System/Library/Caches/com.apple.kext.caches/Startup/Extensions.mkext.
Oct 14 19:49:07 niko-vironens-macbook-pro com.apple.kextcache[338]: /: no supported helper partitions to update.
Oct 14 19:49:07 niko-vironens-macbook-pro kextd[10]: updated kernel boot caches
Oct 14 19:49:07: --- last message repeated 1 time ---
Oct 14 19:49:07 niko-vironens-macbook-pro com.apple.kextd[10]: Error: Kext /System/Library/Extensions/SLAB_USBtoUART - not found/unable to create.
Oct 14 19:49:24 niko-vironens-macbook-pro installd[331]: Exiting.

In the System Profiler under USB I can see the PC POD
Suunto PC Pod:

Product ID: 0x80f6
Vendor ID: 0x10c4 (Silicon Laboratories, Inc.)
Version: 1.00
Serial Number: 0001
Speed: Up to 12 Mb/sec
Manufacturer: Silicon Labs
Location ID: 0x1a200000
Current Available (mA): 500
Current Required (mA): 100

And when I plug the PC POD I can see following line appearing in the system.log
Oct 14 20:03:36 niko-vironens-macbook-pro pcscd[175]: Non-smartcard device launched pcscd [Vendor: 0X10C4, Product: 0X80F6]

I have at least following usb-devices working ok.
- Canon Digital ixus 70
- Garming nuvi200 updater
- Ipod

Any suggestions to get the data download working. In case you would need further info please let me know.

Additional information referring to my previous post...I have SonyEricsson P990i smartphone connecting to Mac via bluetooth. And in iSmarttrain I can see in ports P990i-m-router-connectivity and under that I can see Suunto and other devices. (I disabled the bluetooth serial from the sonyericsson device and then this selection disappered from ismarttrain) - so this might conflict with the PC POD.

I also tried installing the drivers to my girlfriends mac which is very new and doesn't have any USB devices configured, but she does have SonyEricsson C510 phone connecting via bluetooth. And I can see similar symptoms - in iSmarttrain in ports there is C510i-m-router-connectivity and in system.log " Non-smartcard device launched pcscd [Vendor: 0X10C4, Product: 0X80F6]"

Phone bluetooth data in system profiler:
NikonP990i:

Sounds like you're hitting the demo limit of 20 sessions - shouldn't crash, though. i'll look into it.

Hi Stuart

Can you also take a look at the Rs800cx issue mentioned above?

Thanks

Michael

Stuart,

I have add an old exportfile of ismarttrain, which means it shows some sessions.

Now I don't have any problems importing SDF files and downloading from the watch.

I think there is a relation with a fresh install with no (sample) data added.

I will send you a SDF file.

-Rene
