iSMARTtrain V3.0.6 Beta 7 Release

Post by Stuart » Sun Sep 13, 2009 8:28 pm

The latest beta of iSMARTtrain V3.0 is available for download from http://www.ismarttrain.com/Beta/

Most of the changes to this release relate to the Suunto T3, T4 & T6 devices. One major change is that downloading form T3 & T4 devices actually works now!

See our blog for more details - http://www.ismarttrain.com/blog/

Stuart:

Great update.

I just try this beta with my Sunnto t3c and the connection works fast, show all the files and the general information was imported (date, time, duration, Av/Max HR, Cal, and in those sessions I use the GPS Pod the speed and the distance too).

However, the data graph (HR data) and the Time in Zones were missing (no data).

Jose

P.D. I like the new blog by the way.

Time in zones will come - I just wanted to get this release out to make sure it worked for someone other than just me!

You won't get a HR Graph, as the T3 & T4 only store the time in zones, not that actual HR data.

The time in zones will be great, I just forget the t3c do not stores the full hr info.

Great to see progress!

Now, laps are shown, but they are still without time (only zeros) - guess times will follow in a not too distant release. Otherwise, works very fine!

Hi,
I suspect that the library we're using is 10.5 or above, given the error you've got. I'll see if I can find some 10.4 discs here to test it. If it IS the case, then we'll probably only support Suunto on 10.5 or 10.6

Thanks & Regards

Hi Stuart,

Downloads work for me using T4C.

I realise this is work in progress, but thought my findings my be useful:

Only data for duration & av/Mx heart rate have been downloaded i.e. no distance or continual heart rate etc etc

When I check the history data in the watch or download to STM, the data is all there.

Is this available yet? Also, if it helps, Im using a footpod.

Finally, I noticed that the download only works with the PC Pod plugged directly into a port on the back of my iMac. Although when plugged into the keyboard or USB hub, the pod appears in the port dialogue box & T4C as a device, when I hit continue after the watch is in 'PC Transfer' an error is returned ' Cannot connect to Suunto device'

Many thanks
Paul

Glad it's finally working!

The T3 & T4 models don't store continuous data, only a summary of the duration, distance, time in zones, etc.

Yes, I've noticed this as well with my Mac Mini - I wondered if it was just me! I'll put a note on our blog about it.

Thanks & Regards

Hi Stuart,

Thanks for the prompt response.

As far as the above is concerned, (you put it in words much better than I). I am not getting the distance or time in zone info, or at least I cannot see this in the graphs or summary.

Thanks again
Paul
