Re: Getting Data into iST from Polar S625X on Mac

Juergen Between Polar and Apple, they've obsoleted your S725 wrist unit and adapter. Apple made changes after Mavericks (10.90.5 I think) to the USB ports and/or port handlers that resulted in older USB devices of all kinds no longer connecting to Macs. That includes older Polar interfaces used with...

Getting Data into iST from Polar S625X on Mac

Its been a LONG time since anyone posted anything to the Polar forums for iSmartTrain (iST), and I thought it was time to fix that. If you're one of the Polar S625X/S725X HRM users who got left behind when Polar's interface(s) wouldn't work with Macs, and/or when Apple changed the way the Mac USB po...

Graph View Question

When I import data from my Polar S625X HRM, and view the data in the iSMARTtrain Data Graph view, I see an entry in the bottom right corner "VO2 (%/Max ml.min): 55.0%/2925". What does this mean? I know what VO2Max is, and that its related to MaxHR, but I can't figure out what this informat...

Re: iSMARTtrain V3.0.8 Beta 3 Release

Well, that was interesting. I deleted the imported .hrm sessions, then tried again to import the .pdd files... and this time they imported just fine, including the kCal and workout info that was missing from the .hrm files. No idea why the failed import on the first try, except that I added the .hrm...

Re: iSMARTtrain V3.0.8 Beta 3 Release

I just downloaded and installed the V308B3 release, and now am having problems importing the Polar software .pdd files - I get an instant error that offers to send info to someplace (Stuart, Apple, ??). But I can import the associated Polar .hrm files, but those files apparently don't include some o...

Re: new hrm?

FWIW, I've got VMWare 3.1 loaded onto my iMAC OSX 10.6.4, and then installed Win7 Home Prem X64 under VMWare. I can connect the MOS chip USB IR-USB interface to one of the MAC USB ports - then when I start the Win7 virtual machine, the IR unit starts to flash (its doesn't flash when the virtual mach...

Re: 725x, serial IR, Keyspan, connections flacky

Sorry, forgot to update this posting - the source who thought they had a box full of the old black IR-Serial interfaces had a closer look into the jumble of items. After a few more emails, we determined they were NOT the ones we need for the MAC OSX S625X link. Damn. Ah well, I'll keep looking.

Re: 725x, serial IR, Keyspan, connections flacky

Just an update - after spending a fair amount of time going through your code, and trying to educate myself about GUI programming, I finally have to admit I'm over my head for the time I have available. I was thinking that if you could run both the IrLAP and TinyTP protocols in parallel with the IrC...

Re: Heart-rate Line Graph with MacBook Pro and RS200

Chris, its a bit or a kludge, but can you hit your lap button every, say, 5 min or every half mile or some other regular interval while you workout? If you have enough laps built into the RS200 to cover your whole exercise period, at least you'll get AvgHR data for each of those segments - if I unde...

3.0.7 Data Import - Bug?

When I imported two .pdd files generated by Polar PT5 runnning on a Windows-based PC into my MBP-based iST tonight, the calendar view (my default view) didn't show the new workouts, but the right side summary showed the most recent imported workout data. I selected "Prev" to go to the prev...
