The Heart Rate Graph shows the heart rate readings and other data from the heart rate monitor in graphical form. To view the heart rate graph, select 'Data Graph' from the 'View' menu, or click the 'Data Graph' button in the toolbar.
The graph can show heart rate, altitude, speed, cadence, power, pedaling index and L/R pedaling balance. To determine which items of data to graph, select 'Preferences' from the 'iSMARTtrain' or 'Edit' menu, and go to the 'Data Graph' tab. Alternatively, click on the 'Graph Preferences' toolbar button. The dialog box which is displayed will allow you to select the various items to display. Items for which no data is available will be greyed out.
You can also select whether to display time or distance along the X-axis of the graph. This feature is only available for sessions which have speed data.
To select one set of readings, click on the graph area. You'll see a vertical line drawn at the location you clicked. The summary area below the graph will show the data for this point. The arrow keys will move to the next or previous reading.
To select an area of the HR graph, hold down the shift key and drag the mouse in the graph area. You'll see the area of the graph highlighted. The text in the Summary area will be updated to show the data for the currently selected region.
The summary area at the bottom of the graph provides an overview of the session.
It's possible to show more than one session on the graph at the same time. This is useful for comparing rides or runs over the same course to see how your performance has improved.
To overlay sessions, click on the 'Overlay' button in the toolbar. The left-hand list in the dialog box shows all the sessions, while the right-hand list shows the sessions currently displayed on the graph. Select a session in the left-hand box, then click the '>>' button to move it to the right-hand list. Close the dialog box, and the sessions will be shown on the graph.
